Transitions Dance Center Presents:
“Scales and Variations”
2nd Annual Piano and Vocal Concert
Here at Transitions Dance Center we are looking to provide performance experiences for all of our students that cater to their various talents. We felt that the best way to do that for those who have taken time to develop their vocal, guitar and/ or piano skills, is to host a pre-professional concert experience separate from our dance showcases. Miss Mariah, Miss Violet, and Mr. Caleb, Transitions Dance Center’s Voice, Guitar and Piano Instructors, and your Students have begun to create and rehearse pieces that will be performed for you in November! In order for the concert to be most enjoyable for singers/musicians, parents, and audience members, it is important for everyone to follow the guidelines that are mentioned throughout this packet. Please let us know if you will be performing by SEPTEMBER 20th.

ATTIRE: Performers are welcome to express their individuality through their attire. While the “Scales and Variations” shirt is required, and should be left unaltered for all performers, they are welcome to wear pants or a skirt, and any shoes of their liking so long as they are BLACK. Ex: Black sequin pants, a black swing skirt with black tights, black slacks, black loafers, black army boots, etc. That being said, we encourage performers to “dress up” and would like them to avoid leggings/athleisure wear.
HAIR AND MAKE-UP - All performers should style their hair away from their face, in a manner that they see fit. Make-up is optional, but do know that we will have theatrical lighting with a big auditorium.
The studio will be CLOSED for Thanksgiving Break November 26, 2025 through November 30, 2025

Tickets include admission into the venue and light refreshments and desserts at the conclusion of the concert. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, venmo, CC. Remember that 2 tickets per student are included in your fee, please pick up these tickets at this time as well.
Will “Scales and Variations” be recorded?
“Scales and Variations” will be recorded by a TDC staff member and available for families to download via dropbox. We ask that you work to remain “in the moment” and resist filming your performer during the show. It is both a distraction for the performers and disrespectful to other audience members.
